Hemming on a Curve

Megan Nielsen published a pattern with an extreme curve circle skirt and felt the need to publish some advanced techniques to help her sewists.  This page has three techniques and the last one is a handstitching technique very simlar to what is used on very high end scarves that “automatically” creates the roll.  Magic.

Matching Foot

For older machines without adjustable needles, pairing the brand of zipper with a foot specifically designed to fit it allows increased precision and results in an undetectable zipper.   YKK has a perfect combo and the foot is extremely inexpensive.
